At Top Level View, we specialise in building automation tools that streamline complex marine and seismic engineering workflows. Our focus is on creating systems that make simulations accurate, repeatable, and directly tied to real data, so that results are both reliable and actionable.

Our Director, Gurpreet Singh, brings fifteen years of experience in seismic operations with WesternGeco and Shearwater—planning spreads, troubleshooting on deck, and dealing with countless towing simulations. That hands-on background shaped how we approach automation: practical, efficient, and built for the real-world challenges faced offshore and in design offices alike.
As Gurpreet explains:
“After spending years in seismic operations, I swapped the steel-toed boots for a keyboard and now build web apps that target the very bottlenecks I used to wrestle with every day.”
At Top Level View, we build lightweight, browser-based solutions that sit on top of OrcaFlex and automate the entire towing-simulation cycle. Massive reduction in turnaround time—what used to take more than a day can now be done in half an hour, and with better accuracy.

The system makes data searchable, automatically tags every simulation with configuration details, and delivers clean, standardised reports—no manual stitching or formatting required. All runs execute securely behind Azure AD, so access control is built in and users don't need extra passwords or installations.
Top Level View also builds simulations for Node on a Rope (NOAR) and Ocean Bottom Node (OBN) systems. These tools enable detailed stability analysis, helping teams visualise and evaluate how the spread behaves under different operational or environmental conditions.
We also design systems that support load and failure analysis of the tow, allowing clients to plan safer and more efficient operations.
Top Level View doesn't just provide static simulations—we also offer fine-tuned models for dynamic stability analysis. These simulations account for irregular waves and varying currents, showing how stable a spread would be in real-world metocean conditions.
We can integrate metocean data analysis directly into the workflow, allowing users to run targeted simulations based on forecasted or historical conditions.
With this level of reliability, operational decisions to enter shallower waters become easier and more defensible, bringing significant commercial upside both for seismic companies and their clients.
“Top Level View delivered automation solutions for our towing simulations that significantly reduced manual setup time and increased consistency across our projects. Working with them was a seamless experience, they quickly understood our requirements, communicated clearly, and delivered exactly what we needed. Thanks to their automation tools, we can now run multiple towing simulations quickly and accurately with minimal manual intervention.”
